Q. What is a real time tracking system?
A. A real time automated vehicle tracking system (AVL system) uses in-vehicle hardware with GPS, advanced computer processors and wireless technology to collect and transmit vehicle location and event information. GSM/GPRS and CDMA wireless networks are used to transmit location and event data from a vehicle to Telogis' OnTrack database and application. You access the data by logging on using a confidential user name and password.
